Is it only me? Am I too stupid, stubborn or old? I find it hard to navigate in Eclipse, nothing feels natural, most functions are cumbersome. I do not like to use the "featured" folder for my faves, for example. I like to sort them directly in categories so I will find them again easily. Now after each fave I have to move it. I used to fave a lot of pictures, for many years every evening. I don't do it anymore - it takes too much time and has stopped being fun. I lost interest in browsing the deviations altogether.
Well, if I do not like to browse, why publish then? I am sure others will not like to browse any more, too. And I post to be seen.
The general overview over deviations is not helpful. I liked to see how many pictures each deviant has posted and then I would go through those many posts starting from those with the least to those with the most postings. Doesn't work any more - having to hover over each post to see how many are there is the first obstacle, simple not to be able to see as many deviation stacks at once is another.
I find the interface broken in three sections - I liked to jump between certain things now that is not very dynamic any more. My own actions? Go to my avatar picture. Journals? Different area in that interface. Seeing what those I watch posted? Overview. Third part. Moving back and forth. All the time.
Okay... what does that do? I can see why one would like to modernize, but different is not always better. Well it got me to finally waste some of my little time ranting here. That is something it has accomplished.
I could have drawn instead. Not that that is very likely these days. I will check alternatives, see what improves until my core membership runs out. Then I will run out, I am sure dA will not notice. So be it.
My half dollar.
Take care!
